“I look forward to working with the Romanian authorties, with businesses and with civil society”, he says.

“As Ambassador my aim is to strengthen ties between Denmark and Romania, both bilaterally and as partners in the European Union and in NATO.

Denmark has a lot to offer on challenges such as efficient energy production and consumption, food safety and developing the labour market and welfare… services. I think Romania has many things to offer as well, including Its rich history and culture”.

Søren Jensen has had earlier diplomatic postings to Washington DC, Brussels and Prague. He has spent the last six years in charge of counter terror analysis in Denmark.

“I look forward to returning to diplomacy and not least to engaging with the very competent and dedicated staff here at the Embassy” he says.
