Danish support to the control of African swine fever in Romania

A leading expert from the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration and The National Veterinary Institute of Denmark met with the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority on 7 August 2018 in Bucharest. The Danish expert offered advice on the immediate situation concerning the spread of African swine fever (AFS) in Romania. During the meeting Danish expert also offered support to a study to identify the risk factors for outbreaks of ASF in pig holdings and the biosecurity measures to protect pig holdings in Romania.
