Municipal elections will be held on the Faroe Islands on 12 November 2024.

Faroese voters abroad can vote at the Danish Embassy in Bucharest or the Danish Honorary Consulate in Cluj-Napoca.

The Consular Department at the Embassy in Bucharest is open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 10.00-12.00, and Wednesdays at 14.00-16.00. Advanced voting at the Consulate in Cluj-Napoca takes place by prior appointment. The Consulate can be contacted by phone: +40 722 300 792 and e-mail: [email protected].

Please remember to bring valid photo identification (passport or driving licence).

We encourage people to cast their vote no later than 31 October 2024, in order for the vote to arrive to the Faroe Islands before the election day on Tuesday 12 November 2024.
