The Ambassador's Welcome

It was with great pleasure that I assumed the position as Ambassador of Denmark to Romania on September 1, 2022.

The main task for the Embassy is to promote Danish interests in Romania. We stand ready to provide quick and efficient assistance to Danes. At the same time, we aim to strengthen the cooperation between Denmark and Romania – politically, commercially and culturally – for the benefit of both Romanians and Danes.

Politically we aim to enhance the dialogue on issues of common interest, both bilaterally and within the frameworks of the European Union and NATO. In the commercial area, the Embassy assists Danish companies in selling products and finding partners on the Romanian market. More than 600 Danish companies do business in Romania. These companies have created more than 10,000 jobs in the country. The Embassy sees even more potential, both for businesses already on the market, and for new Danish businesses in Romania.

Furthermore, the Embassy seeks to broaden the knowledge about Danish culture and way of life with the purpose, amongst others, of raising awareness about Danish approaches and solutions to challenges in the areas of clean and renewable energy, healthcare, education, digitization, and solutions for climate changes.
