Your fingerprints and photograph will be stored for 10 years after they were taken.

During the entire period they are stored, your fingerprints and photograph may be processed by all immigration authorities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Den-mark, including the Danish missions (embassies, consulates general, etc.), and the police for the purpose of identification and verification of identity in the immigra-tion area.

Your fingerprints and photograph will be recorded in the immigration authorities' register for which the Ministry of Immigration and Integration, the Immigration Ser-vice and the Agency for International Recruitment and Integration are responsible.

Your fingerprints and photograph will be stored for 20 years after they were taken. If you are granted a residence permit in Denmark, your biometric data will instead be stored for 10 years after they were taken. However, if you are granted Danish citizenship, your fingerprints and photograph will be deleted from the immigration authorities' register.

The immigration authorities may also take your fingerprints and photograph in or-der to verify your identity in the event that there is not complete certainty about your identity, see section 40A(2)(3) and section 40B(2)(1). In this connection, your fingerprints and photograph will be compared with the fingerprints and photo-graph already recorded in the immigration authorities' register. Your fingerprints
